What security measures do you use?

Each membership application requires passengers to provide us with detailed information that allows us to perform security checks on all of our clients and guests before their first flight. We additionally provide support and security checks prior to boarding. All passengers will be required to supply a valid government ID at check-in for their designated flight. We will verify the names and weights of all of our passengers, and additionally determine the dimensions and weights of their baggage to ensure that JCAA regulations are met. Pilots will make the final decisions in distributing weight equally for the safety of all of our members.

Captain’s Aviation reserves the right to prohibit any passengers from flying who are determined disruptive, unruly, intoxicated, or otherwise unfit to fly in the aircraft. Cigarette smoking, electronic cigarette smoking, and vaping are prohibited in all Captain’s Aviation helicopters.

What are some statistics on helicopter safety?

The majority of reported helicopter accidents involve helicopters that are piloting missions such as emergency medical services or training exercises. Less than 10% of helicopter incidents involve passenger helicopter operations.

When will Captain’s Aviation cancel flights?

Captain’s Aviation will only cancel flights when we believe that conducting the flight could put our passengers and pilots at harm. If we think that the flight might undergo high levels of turbulence, we would rather reschedule the flight than cause our passengers to have an uncomfortable flight.
Additionally, if there is a strong chance of storms or dangerous weather during any part of the flight that might preclude us from reaching our destination, we will reschedule the flight.
